This limited-time event will feature an abundance of the owl-looking Pokémon, Hoothoot, offering a chance for Trainers to collect plenty of Hoothoot Candies, which they can use to evolve it into Noctowl. But the more important question is: can Hoothoot be Shiny during the Spotlight Hour in Pokémon GO?<\/p>\n

The answer is yes! You’ll be excited to know that you can encounter a Shiny Hoothoot<\/strong> during the November Spotlight Hour<\/a> in Pokémon GO. The nocturnal Normal\/Flying-type Pokémon, Hoothoot, will appear more frequently in-game and provide a unique event bonus for one hour on 29th November 2022<\/strong> between 6 pm and 7 pm local time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Luckily, spotting a Shiny Hoothoot won’t be too complicated as this Shiny variant will come boasting a different color than its Normal form. Since the release of the Shiny Hoothoot in December 2021, its feathered exterior has gained a gold hue while the rest of its body remains in its default colors.<\/p>\n

Nevertheless, catching Hoothoot or its Shiny form shouldn’t give you any issues as long as you come prepared for the encounter. Equip a couple of Poké Balls with some Razz Berries and Lure Modules or Incense to attract Hoothoot to your location.<\/p>\n

If you catch Hoothoot or its Shiny form, you’ll earn double the XP from evolving Pokémon<\/strong>. That said, you’ll need 50 Hoothoot Candies to evolve Hoothoot to Noctowl and earn a maximum of 4000 XP per evolution.<\/p>\n
