There are many new Pokemon<\/a> available for you to catch in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. One such Pokemon is Finizen<\/strong>. Finizen is a dolphin Pokemon and no matter how much you level it up on your own, you cannot evolve it. But Finizen can actually evolve.<\/p>\n

Finizen actually has one of the most unique ways to evolve a Pokemon<\/a> in the entire Pokemon series. Here, we go over exactly what you need to do to evolve your Finizen into a Palafin.<\/p>\n

How To Get Palafin In Pokemon Scarlet And Violet<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Getting a Palafin is not too difficult but there is a restriction that you need to be aware of. One of the things that Pokemon does is that it encourages players to play the game with other people. An example of this is Gengar<\/strong>. Players cannot get a Gengar unless they trade a Haunter to another player.<\/p>\n

Finizen is very similar. Finizen requires another player to evolve it. However, it is still unique because you cannot simply trade a Finizen to evolve it. There are extra steps you need to take to evolve Finizen into a Palafin.<\/p>\n

First is that you need to join a Union Circle lobby <\/strong>with a friend. That means that you need to actively be in someone else’s world or you need to join someone else’s lobby. Once you are in a Union Circle session, you need to level up your Finizen to level 38. Once Finizen reaches that level, it will then evolve into a Palafin.<\/p>\n

To put it shortly, no, there is no way to evolve a Finizen alone<\/strong>. You absolutely must evolve a Finizen during a Union session with another player. It is like evolving Haunter into Gengar, you cannot evolve it without another player involved.<\/p>\n

Nintendo and The Pokemon Company have for a long time encouraged people to trade Pokemon<\/a> with each other. It encourages people to play with each other and enjoy Pokemon together. So, unfortunately, there is no workaround<\/strong> to needing a Union Circle to evolve Finizen. There are sites like Reddit where people are constantly looking for a session to evolve Pokemon, so it should not be too difficult to find someone to join a Union Circle with to evolve your Pokemon.<\/p>\n
