With World of Warcraft’s latest expansion, Dragonflight, launching on 28th November 2022, hundreds of streamers and possibly millions of players have flocked from all over the world to play the game. That said, one of Twitch’s most prominent and widely-known World of Warcraft streamers and players, Asmongold, wasn’t the happiest person after realizing their account wasn’t promoted on the platform, despite being a legendary figure in the community.

If there’s any person that’s known for quality and humorous World of Warcraft content, it’s Asmongold. The streamer has over 3.3 million followers on Twitch and amasses thousands of views per Livestream and equally as much through YouTube. So, it’s no surprise that the streamer Livestreamed themselves playing World of Warcraft: Dragonflight when it launched.

Twitch streamer Asmongold was shocked to discover that their account wasn’t promoted on the platform’s official World of Warcraft category.

However, it was only a little while into the World of Warcraft grind did Asmondgold discover the platform had completely ignored the streamer and decided not to promote their channel on the official category for the game. For the streamer, this is pretty offensive, especially noting that Asmongold probably amasses a massive viewership percentage relating to World of Warcraft content on Twitch.

The streamer initially found out after a viewer chatted, “does Twitch really hate Asmon, isn’t showing in [the platform’s] World of Warcraft category.” Immediately after hearing this, Asmongold checked Twitch to see if their account was promoted on the platform. After discovering the truth, the content creator was absolutely baffled to find their stream nowhere in the category. Asmongold stated in disbelief, “I will check on my phone. Yeah, I’ll check on my phone.”
