Pokémon GO’s latest season, Mythical Wishes<\/a>, will officially begin with the first in-game event marking the debuts of three Hoenn Mega Pokémon. The Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day sees Mega Sceptile, Blaziken, and Swampert featured as Mega Raid Bosses for a limited time and the only opportunity in 2022 to earn Rare Candy XL.<\/p>\n

Several event bonuses will be available for the event’s duration, including exclusive bonuses, for which tickets can be purchased in-game. We’ve detailed all the event details for Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day, including start and end dates and times, featured Pokémon, and more.<\/p>\n

Pokémon GO Hoenn Mega Raid Day: Dates & Times<\/h2>\n

Heading to Hoenn Mega Raid Day is the first significant Raid event in Pokémon GO. The event will take place on 3rd December 2022 between 2 pm and 5 pm local time.<\/strong> During the event, Trainers can test their might against three ferocious Raid Bosses.<\/p>\n

Pokémon GO Hoenn Mega Raid Day: Spawns<\/h2>\n

The event is inspired by the First Partner Pack for Pokémon TCG<\/a>, featuring three Hoenn Pokémon, the evolutions for Treecko, Torchic, and Mudkip in their Mega forms. In addition, Mega Sceptile, Mega Blaziken, and Mega Swampert are making their debuts<\/strong> in Pokémon GO, with Mega Energy available exclusively in the Raid Day event.<\/p>\n

You’ll need to battle any one (or all) of these Mega Pokémon to collect Mega Energy specific for that Pokémon to Mega-evolve it. Once you’ve Mega-evolved either Sceptile, Blaziken, or Swampert, you could likely Mega-evolve them without requiring Mega Energy (this will be available again during the Pokemon GO Tour: Hoenn in 2023).<\/p>\n

To gain exclusive event bonuses in this Mega Raid Day event, you’ll need to purchase<\/strong> an event ticket for $5 <\/strong>(or local currency equivalent) via the in-game Shop. With this event-exclusive ticket, you will be granted several event bonuses, active on 3rd December 2022 between 2 pm and 10 pm local time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
