The latest Hero class to be added to Hearthstone<\/a> has a ton of new content to start testing out. There are a lot of new cards that arrived alongside the Death Knight class, and the new Rune system makes for a ton of new deckbuilding options. However, one of the most interesting mechanics that the Death Knight has access to is Corpses. <\/p>\n

Corpses are a brand-new resource added to Hearthstone that only the Death Knight hero class will be able to utilize. They are used to activate powerful effects, and many Death Knight cards will require players to build up Corpses over the course of a match. <\/p>\n

How The Death Knight Corpse Mechanic Works In Hearthstone <\/h2>\n

Corpses are a new resource that players can accrue over the course of every match. They are spent in a similar way to Mana Crystals but will not increase automatically. Corpses are generated every time a friendly minion dies. You can check how many Corpses you have collected by the small counter next to your Mana Crystal bar.  <\/p>\n

Corpses are spent by using specific Death Knight cards. Some cards will have powerful additional effects depending on the number of Corpses you have at your disposal. For example, let’s take a look at Army of the Dead.<\/p>\n

By spending 5 Corpses, players can summon several strong minions to their side of the field. Some cards, like Army of the Dead and Corpse Explosion, are only useable if you have direct access to Corpses. However, other cards like Vampiric Blood will give you a single effect regardless (in this case, +5 maximum health) and an additional effect (+5 additional health) if you have a certain number of Corpses. <\/p>\n

It should be noted that if a card has an additional or ongoing effect in relation to Corpses, you cannot decide manually whether or not to spend your Corpses. If you play a card and you have the required number of Corpses to gain the bonus effect, it will be applied automatically. <\/p>\n

Furthermore, minions summoned by using Corpses will no longer give your corpses when they die. No double-dipping!<\/p>\n
