The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt<\/a>‘s next-gen update added plenty of game adjustments and bug fixes, including a new Photo Mode and side quests amongst the additions. But one of the more bittersweet additions is a tribute to outgoing The Witcher actor Henry Cavill.<\/p>\n

Cavill, who portrayed Geralt of Rivia in two seasons of the Netflix series, with the third season arriving next year<\/a>, was honored most poignantly. The Polish developer immortalized his beloved dog, an American Akita named Kal, who can be seen by completing one of the side quests. Players will need to have located the Priest for Church of the Eternal Fire near Devil’s Pit east of Mulbrydale to begin the side quest, “In The Eternal Fire’s Shadow.”<\/a> You must complete this side quest with a good ending by choosing “Boy’s innocent” and “Don’t need a church to do good, priest” dialogue options to ensure that you get this ending.<\/p>\n
