Christmas is in full swing in Pokémon GO<\/a>, granting every Trainer’s wish during the season of festive giving. The annual Holiday-themed event, Winter Holiday, aims to promote the themes of gifting and sharing as developer Niantic provided ample seasonal content to enjoy.<\/p>\n

From amazingly cool Raid battles to new Research tasks and various Pokémon donning Christmas-themed outfits, the Winter Holiday event will bring holiday cheer to all Trainers. So let’s look at what we know about the Winter Holiday event, including dates, times, featured Pokémon, and more for Pokémon GO.<\/p>\n

Pokémon GO Winter Holiday – Event Dates & Times<\/h2>\n

Niantic’s annual Christmas-themed event, Winter Holiday, will be featured in December 2022, with plenty of gifts and Christmas joy. The event is split into two: Winter Holiday Part 1<\/a>, from 15th to 23rd December 2022 at 10 am local time<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Winter Holiday Part 2<\/a> begins on 23rd December 2022 at 10 am local time<\/strong> before concluding on New Year’s Eve, 31st December 2022, at 8 pm local time<\/strong>. During the event, there are plenty of festive activities, wild and Raid encounters, new Shop items to purchase, and research tasks to complete.<\/p>\n

Pokémon GO Winter Holiday – Featured Pokémon<\/h2>\n

Several Pokémon will make their in-game debut during the Winter Holiday event, which Trainers can anticipate encountering them. For the Winter Holiday Part 1 event, Mega Glalie will debut in a Mega Raid with the possibility of encountering a Shiny Mega Glalie.<\/p>\n

The Winter Holiday Part 2 event will see a handful of Eeveelutions debuting in-game as they’ll be sporting Holiday-themed costumes and headgear. The Eeveelutions arriving include Eevee, Espeon, Flareon, Glaceon, Jolteon, Leafeon, Sylveon, Umbreon, and Vaporeon; however, only Eevee will have the chance of its Shiny form spawning during the event.<\/p>\n

Lastly, those who caught Cubchoo wearing a Holiday ribbon<\/strong> from this event or previous Holiday events will be able to evolve it to Beartic during the Winter Holiday Part 2 event. If you evolve Cubchoo wearing a holiday ribbon with 50 Cubchoo Candy<\/strong>, you’ll receive Beartic wearing a Holiday ribbon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Pokémon GO Winter Holiday – Wild Encounters<\/h2>\n

Across the two-part event, several Pokémon can be spotted more frequently in the wild, including Water and Ice-type Pokémon. In addition, there is a chance you can spot Shiny forms*<\/strong> of these Pokémon; some are sporting new festive costumes and hats exclusively for the Winter Holiday event.<\/p>\n
