Sony typically releases a Pro version of each generation console about three years after its initial release; therefore, we can expect an announcement about the PS5 Pro in 2023 or 2024. Here is what we know about the PlayStation 5 Pro at present, including its potential release date, specifications, and cost.<\/p>\n

PS5 Pro Release Date Speculation<\/h2>\n

To be clear: Sony has not made any official announcements about an official PS5 Pro release date since they have not officially announced the upcoming release of the PlayStation 5 Pro in the first place. That said, we can still look at the console's history and the company's patterns to make a prediction.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n
The PlayStation 4 was released in 2013, while the upgraded PlayStation 4 Pro was released three years later in 2016. This means that there’s roughly a three-year gap before Sony will release any alternative versions of the console, such as a Slim or Pro edition. However, it’s worth noting that there were some generations where fans had to wait as much as four years (and as little as two years).<\/p>\n
The PlayStation 5 was released in 2020. Therefore, we can expect the PlayStation 5 Pro to release sometime in 2023 or 2024<\/strong>. In other words, Sony will likely release a new PlayStation 5 in the next year or two.<\/p>\n

PlayStation 5 Pro Specs<\/h2>\n
As of right now, there is no official announcement on the specifications of the PlayStation 5 Pro. There have been a lot of technological advancements in the past few years, though, so it is likely that the Playstation 5 Pro will feature significant improvements to the original console.<\/p>\n
We predict that PlayStation 5 Pro will use a next-generation RDNA chipset<\/strong> for consoles after a job listing from the company <\/a>asked for an engineer to work on the chipsets. According to some reports, the PS5 Pro will likely contain the most up-to-date processor<\/strong> available, as with past Pro-edition consoles, and may even include a removable disc drive<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
