We are, of course, talking about CS:GO Majors, crowning achievement tournaments for the best teams and players in the world. If you are wondering exactly when the next CS:GO Major begins, then we’ve got you covered.<\/p>\n

This article features a countdown clock to the next CS:GO Major, currently scheduled as the BLAST Paris Major 2023, alongside how long it runs and the format. The next CS:GO Major is BLAST Paris 2023, and it has a start date of 8th May 2023<\/strong>. The tournament will run until 21st May 2023, when a champion will be crowned.<\/p>\n

As with all Majors, this is an offline LAN event. The location of the next Major is the Accor Arena in Paris, France. A total of 24 teams (who qualify via the RMR events) will compete for their share of the $1,250,000 prize pool.<\/p>\n

Since 2018, starting with the ELEAGUE Major: Boston 2018 event, Valve has a new CS:GO Major tournament format, and increased the size of the tournaments from 16 to 24 teams, and further renamed each stage of the tournament. We don’t expect the current CS:GO Major format to change any time soon.<\/p>\n

Below, you can check out the CS:GO Major tournament format, with various stages of the competition, starting with the Challengers Stage.<\/p>\n

Challenger Stage:<\/h3>\n

  • 16 Team Swiss System Format.<\/li>\n
  • Elimination and Advancement matches are Bo3.<\/li>\n
  • All other matches are Bo1.<\/li>\n
  • The top 8 Teams proceed to The Legends Stage.<\/li>\n
  • The bottom 8 Teams are eliminated.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Legends Stage:<\/h3>\n

      Champions Stage:<\/h3>\n

      The top eight teams from the Legends stage will compete in a single-elimination bracket. Seeding will be done using the final rankings from the Legends Stage. In this stage, all matches are best-of-three.<\/p>\n
