The Resident Evil 4 Remake’s developers announced in a recent interview published in EDGE Magazine that one of the franchise’s most infamous areas, Resident Evil 4’s Island Section, will return in the Resident Evil 4 Remake<\/strong>. <\/strong>However, the team also mentioned that the area would see some pretty major changes, and fans shouldn’t expect an exact copy of the original.<\/p>\n

In the EDGE Magazine interview, developers mentioned that there’s “a lot more to [the Island section]”<\/strong> than the original game. We don’t yet know what the additional content will include. <\/p>\n

The announcement that the Island will remain a part of the game even in the remake is surprising, considering some of the past Resident Evil remakes have cut large portions of content and altered portions of the story. Some of Capcom’s decisions to cut content left fans of the original games frustrated and disappointed. Such was the case for the Resident Evil 3 Remake, which left out significant portions of the original story.<\/p>\n

The Resident Evil 4 Remake development team likely kept fans’ past feedback in mind as they developed the Island area, given their choice to expand upon it rather than remove it. <\/p>\n

Interestingly, the Island section was assigned its own team during the Resident Evil 4 Remake process. The game’s development team split up into sections – Village, Island, and Castle – before coming together to create the final game that players will get to enjoy when it hits shelves later this year.<\/p>\n
