Wondering if Final Fantasy 16 will make its way to PC six months after its release on PlayStation 5 (PS5) on 22nd June 2023? Confused about the game’s platforms? Well, you are in the right if you don’t feel as if a PC version has completely been denied.

This article explains the Final Fantasy 16 platforms and why people are rightfully confused about a possible PC version, alongside comments from the game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida.

Some fans have thought Final Fantasy 16 might release on PC six months after the game’s release on PS5. There’s a very, very good reason for this thinking, as seen in the image above.

We screenshotted this image via the Final Fantasy 16 “REVENGE” trailer released on 9 December 2022. The trailer states: “Not available on other platforms until 12.31.2023“. This did indicate to fans that Final Fantasy 16 could release on other platforms after the date in question.

Since the trailer from Square Enix does have this line in, and the original reveal trailer from the PlayStation Showcase back in the day said, “Also available on PC,” fans have every right to be confused.

Industry Insider via IGN, Genki, recently published a video clip from NicoVideo.jp where the game’s producer, Naoki Yoshida, denied that anyone said a word about a PC version of Final Fantasy 16 releasing.

The translation, as per Genki (and verified by IGN), reads:

Nobody said a word about a PC version releasing. Why is it like a PC version is releasing 6 months later? Don’t worry about that, buy a PS5! (laughs) Sorry, I went overboard. We did our best so please look forward to it.
