However, as the countdown for Dead Space Remake’s release date<\/a> continues to tick down, rumors have begun swirling about a potential film adaptation of the franchise, which would bring the terrifying world of Dead Space to the big screen.<\/p>\n

These rumors came after U.S. filmmaker John Carpenter, best known for making horror movies like Halloween<\/em> (1978) and The Thing<\/em> (1982), shared his interest in directing a film adaptation of the video game Dead Space in October last year. In an interview with A.V. Club<\/a>, Carpenter said that the only game he would be interested in turning into a movie would be Dead Space. “That would make a real great movie.
