The League of Legends<\/a> 2023 season is underway, and Riot has introduced several missions for players to complete and unlock rewards. These missions involve playing as a mystery champion whose full identity is not disclosed. Players are given a small hint of the champion required based on a quote, a snippet of lore, or any other small piece of information.<\/p>\n

One of the most difficult missions is simply titled “Yet I do not fear the darkness.” No other information is given, so whether this is referencing a direct quote, a skin line, or a piece of backstory is unclear. So, if you want to know the answer to the LoL mystery champion yet I do not fear the darkness<\/strong>, you’ve come to the right place!<\/p>\n

This led fans to scour the individual quotes for specific champions and champion skins in hopes that they would find the I do not fear the darkness quote. <\/p>\n

After much speculation from the community, the LoL mystery champion yet I do not fear the darkness is Yasuo, specifically, Nightbringer Yasuo. <\/strong>Likely, this is a reference to one of Nightbringer Yasuo’s movement lines – “Do not fear the darkness, fear the nothing after I am gone.”<\/em> Yasuo becomes a demon of darkness when equipping this skin, and a large majority of his lines reference darkness in some shape or form. <\/p>\n

All you have to do to complete the mission is play a game with Yasuo on your team. Don’t worry; you don’t have to have the Nightbringer skin in order to complete this mission, but if you want to hear the specific line in-game and you have access to the skin – go right ahead and use it! <\/p>\n

All in all, this was a great way for Riot Games to test their player base’s knowledge of certain characters. Aside from third-party sites like Loldle, there has never been this kind of pseudo-quiz introduced before. Hopefully, the engagement from these missions is high enough for Riot Games to warrant doing something like this again. <\/p>\n
