While there’s been numerous rumours of potential announcements and teases on the horizon, it seems Grand Theft Auto VI won’t be revealed anytime soon.

A new report on Kotaku looking into the changing working conditions at Rockstar Games – speaking to 15 people who work or have worked at the studio – contains some information about GTA VI, stating it will be the developer’s next title.

The report claims, in a bid to reduce crunch at the studio, GTA IV could start out with a “moderately sized release” at launch which is then expanded upon with regular updates over time.

It’s stated however GTA VI is “still early in development”, with the article’s author Jason Schreier also tweeting how the title is “still a ways away”.

The next GTA is still a ways away, so it’ll be a while before we see whether the company’s attempts to mitigate crunch are really successful, but in the last year Rockstar has made several quality-of-life improvements and replaced managers that staff described as toxic.

— Jason Schreier (@jasonschreier) April 15, 2020
