The Nurse<\/a> has long been regarded in the Dead by Daylight community as one of its strongest killers<\/a>, thanks to her powerful Blink ability that allows her to teleport through walls and obstacles. While she can be somewhat challenging to play, she can be absolutely oppressive in the hands of great killer players, meaning it takes an equally strong survivor player to counter a good Nurse.<\/p>\n

While it isn’t easy to escape from a Nurse, it’s more than possible if you have the determination and know the right tactics. Here is how to counter The Nurse in Dead by Daylight as a survivor so you can win more trials.<\/p>\n

Become a Master of Prediction To Counter The Nurse in DBD<\/h2>\n

To counter The Nurse in Dead by Daylight, you’ll need to predict her Blink attacks and stay extremely aware. (Picture: Behaviour Interactive)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
The trick to going up against The Nurse is becoming a master of prediction. The Nurse needs to predict your movements in order to Blink to your location and successfully catch you, so just as she hopes to predict you, you need to predict her. While you’re moving, watch for The Nurse to start a Blink attack and move in an unexpected direction. If you continue moving in a straight line, she’ll effortlessly predict your location and catch up. It’s best to switch your direction regularly to throw The Nurse off; even simply running behind her can throw her off and disorient her.<\/p>\n
Identify The Killer’s Perks in Dead by Daylight<\/h2>\n
It’s a great idea when going against The Nurse to do your best to identify her perks; after all, The Nurse is one of the strongest killers in the game on her own, but if she has the right set of perks, she can be truly unstoppable. Keep an eye out for any in-game interactions that might tip you off to a perk she’s using, and don’t forget to look at your HUD for any relevant icons. You don’t want to be caught off-guard, for example, with an insta-down because of Hex: No One Escapes Death, when you could have paid attention to the Exposed icon in the corner and better planned your escape.<\/p>\n
Don’t Try To Loop Her<\/h2>\n

The worst mistake survivors make against Nurse is making an attempt to loop her in the same way as other killers, using vault locations and pallets to try to gain distance. The Nurse can Blink right through walls, objects, and obstacles, making it nearly impossible to loop her in the same way as other killers. Rather than trying to loop The Nurse around vault locations, including pallets and windows, you should keep running forward and rely more on a zig-zag running style and jukes to avoid her Blink attacks.<\/p>\n
