Evading a good Trapper requires a smart survivor with good map knowledge, so if you want to escape more trials, you’ll need to use your brain when playing against this killer.<\/p>\n

Keep An Eye Out For Traps to Counter The Trapper in DBD<\/h2>\n

Considering you’re up against The Trapper<\/a>, this tip might come intuitively – but keeping an eye out for the killer’s traps is by far the best thing you can do as a survivor.<\/strong> Traps won’t always be placed in plain sight; in fact, a good Trapper will strategically place them where you can’t see them. Therefore, it’s a great idea to look in bushes and other dark spots for traps where The Trapper may have hidden them.<\/p>\n

You might expect to see traps under windows, around pallets, and at vault locations; while some Trappers strategically place traps in these locations to zone survivors out of loops, the best Trapper players put their traps in less obvious spots.<\/p>\n

Disarm Traps When You See Them<\/h2>\n

If you spot a trap, you should immediately disarm it to prevent you or other survivors from falling into it later on.<\/strong> There are almost no situations in which you should not disarm a trap in front of you unless you are actively in a chase.<\/p>\n

Disarming a trap will notify The Trapper to your location, though, so do so wisely and take care not to put yourself in an inopportune position. For example, if you’re injured and hiding out near The Trapper, you might want to avoid disarming a trap as this would immediately alert The Trapper to your location nearby, enabling him to land an easy hit despite the disarmed trap.<\/p>\n

Bring A Map to Counter The Trapper in Dead by Daylight<\/h2>\n

While you can’t know which killer you’re going to be up against before a trial begins, you might want to bring along a map if you’re fearful of the Trapper. Certain maps along with their item add-ons, can show you the location of various objects around the map, including killer belongings like The Trapper’s traps. Maps are one of the best items in Dead by Daylight<\/a> when used correctly.<\/p>\n
