Earlier this week, developer Niantic announced a brand-new feature that will be highlighted in the upcoming Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn – Las Vegas event: the Primal Reversion mechanic. Noteworthy, this new in-game feature functions quite similarly to Mega Evolutions, as it also involves its type of currency, Primal Energy.

While we have previously covered how the Primal Reversion mechanic works in Pokemon GO, many Trainers want to know exactly when the Legendary Hoenn region pocket monsters Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon will be released in Pokémon GO.

Pokémon GO Primal Kyogre & Groudon – Release Date

Niantic confirmed Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon to be the first Pokémon that will possess the powerful energy of Primal Reversion. As this next type of evolution poses to be the next evolutionary form possibly greater than Mega Evolutions, Trainers should approach either Pokémon with great caution.

Primal Kyogre and Primal Groudon will be available from the 18th to 19th February 2023 between 10 am and 6 pm PST. They will debut in-game during the Pokémon GO Tour: Hoenn Global event in Las Vegas, USA. Unfortunately, tickets are sold out for this in-person event, but there will be in-game activities for all Trainers to participate in.
