With the Lightfall expansion, Bungie is making many changes to its ever-evolving looter-shooter Destiny 2. Recently, the studio detailed how mod customization<\/a> and build crafting will change with the upcoming expansion. <\/span>Now, in its latest TWAB<\/a>, Bungie has revealed how weapon and armor focusing will change in Destiny 2 Season 20.<\/span><\/p>\n

For those unaware, focusing allows players to roll high-stats armor and weapons. So without<\/span> further ado, let’s dive into all the weapon and armor focusing changes coming to Destiny 2 with the Lightfall expansion<\/a> and Season 20.<\/span><\/p>\n

All Weapon Focusing Changes In Destiny 2 Season 20<\/span><\/h2>\n

Firstly, Bungie is retiring Umbral Engrams. Players can focus Seasonal gear using the new Seasonal Engrams, whereas Vanguard gear can be focused using new Vanguard Engrams.<\/span><\/p>\n

Vanguard Focusing in Destiny 2 Season 20<\/span><\/h3>\n

Starting in Destiny 2 Season 20, Zavala will allow players to focus Vanguard weapons and armor. This also includes Nightfall weapons. In addition, players won’t have to collect Vanguard Engrams. Instead, they will earn it by increasing Zavala’s vendor rank. Players can also open Vanguard Engrams directly on Zavala. <\/span>In Season 20, players can focus the Photosuede Vanguard armor set at Zavala.<\/span><\/p>\n

The following Vanguard weapons will be available to focus in Season 20<\/strong>: <\/span><\/p>\n

  • Xenoclast IV <\/span><\/li>\n
  • The Third Axiom <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Royal Entry <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Empty Vessel <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Punching Out <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Fortissimo-11 <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Strident Whistle <\/span><\/li>\n
  • Pure Poetry <\/span><\/li>\n

    Nightfall Weapon Focusing in Destiny 2 Season 20<\/span><\/h3>\n

    The following Nightfall weapons will also be available to focus in Season 20: <\/strong><\/p>\n

    • The Militia’s Birthright <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Mindbender’s Ambition <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Wendigo GL-3 <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Hung Jury SR-4 <\/span><\/li>\n
    • The Swarm <\/span><\/li>\n
    • Buzzard <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      To focus a Nightfall weapon, players will need: <\/span><\/p>\n

      • 1 Vanguard Engram <\/span><\/li>\n
      • 20,000 Glimmer <\/span><\/li>\n
      • 50 Legendary Shards <\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

        Like seasonal focusing, players have to earn the aforementioned Vanguard weapons and armor at least once before they are available to focus. Nightfall weapons can be acquired from running Nightfall strikes.<\/span><\/p>\n

        Starting Season 20, players can also focus Adept Nightfall weapons. However, to do so, players will require Adept Nightfall Ciphers. These can be obtained by completing Grandmaster Nightfall Strikes. The amount of Adept Nightfall Ciphers players earn depends on their Grandmaster Nightfall completion score. <\/span><\/p>\n

        • Silver = 0<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

          Zavala will only offer one Adept Nightfall weapon for focusing every week, depending on the rotation. <\/span>To focus an Adept Nightfall weapon, players will need the following resources: <\/span><\/p>\n

          • 50,000 Glimmer<\/span><\/li>\n
          • 50 Legendary Shards<\/span><\/li>\n
          • 10 Adept Nightfall Ciphers<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

            The following Adept Nightfall weapons will be available to focus in Season 20: <\/strong><\/p>\n

              In Destiny 2 Season 20, Bungie is also introducing “Legacy Focusing.” As a result, players can expect a ton of weapons and armor from past seasons to be available to focus, including Crucible, Vanguard, Gambit, Iron Banner, and Trials of Osiris gear.<\/span><\/p>\n

              The following Crucible Armor sets will be available for Legacy Focusing in Season 20:<\/strong><\/p>\n

                To focus a legacy crucible armor piece, players will have two options. If they have acquired that gear previously, focusing will cost: <\/span><\/p>\n
