Marvel’s Avengers<\/strong> is a game that had a very rocky start. There were a lot of performance issues and bugs that were launched with the game. Despite the many different patches<\/a> the game had, the overall performance of the game was lacking due to these technical issues. This drove away many different potential players and those who bought the game at launch.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, Marvel’s Avengers will no longer be supported<\/a> by the developers by the end of 2023. Although that is the case, there is a dedicated fanbase of Marvel’s Avengers that is not ready to see the game go. In fact, they believe in the game so much that they are petitioning for a sequel to be created<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Fans Petition To Make Marvel’s Avengers 2<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Despite the fact that there were many problems with Marvel’s Avengers, there was indeed a dedicated fanbase for the game. Marvel’s Avengers was released in late 2020 during the COVID-19 lockdown<\/strong>. Many gamers who had to stay indoors played Marvel’s Avengers during their free time and it resonated with them because of that.<\/p>\n

Because of all the time they spent on Marvel’s Avengers, hardcore fans of the game started their own petition on Change.org<\/a>. The petition reads that the fans do not want Crystal Dynamics to continue to support Marvel’s Avengers. They would, however, want the developers to take the fans’ advice to move on and start development on Marvel’s Avengers 2<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

The fans are suggesting that Crystal Dynamics use a better engine for the sequel, use a subscription or battle pass model, and for the game to be around 40 hours long. The fans signing the petition believe this is the way to make a successful sequel for Marvel’s Avengers<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

To be perfectly frank, a sequel to Marvel’s Avengers will probably never come out<\/strong>. There are a couple of reasons for this. The first is that Marvel’s Avengers had a Metacritic score of 67 and an even lower user score. On Steam, the game only has “Mixed” reviews, and that is even after the game had many bug fixes.<\/p>\n

Another reason why it probably will not happen is the fact that support for the game only lasted 3 years<\/strong>. That is a relatively short time for a live service game to be up. To put it simply Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics have enough evidence to show that players do not want the game to continue.
