After a long wait, Discord Voice Chat<\/a> is finally coming to your PS5 console. No more need to switch between devices to chat with friends while gaming as the popular chat platform for gamers on PC, mobile, and console has now added support for PS5.<\/p>\n

You’ll be able to join in on the fun and talk with your friends on any device, whether it’s on desktop, web, console, or mobile, all from your PS5. Fortunately, beta testers can try it out now, and the rest of us PS5 owners can look forward to joining soon. With that said, here’s our comprehensive guide to using Discord voice chat on PS5.<\/p>\n

Linking Your PlayStation Network to Discord Account<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Those who have received an invite to beta test Discord voice support for PS5 should have received an email with a code to access the Discord voice support beta. Simply redeem the code to update the PS5 console to the latest beta software.<\/p>\n

Once the device is up to date, the next step is to link your PlayStation Network to your Discord Account by following these steps:<\/p>\n

  1. Install the beta software on your PS5.<\/li>\n
  2. Pick up your DualSense™ controller.<\/li>\n
  3. Go to “Settings.”<\/li>\n
  4. Select “Users and Accounts.”<\/li>\n
  5. Choose “Linked Services.”<\/li>\n
  6. Look for a new option to link your Discord account.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Select that, and the process of linking your account for PlayStation Network to your Discord account should start right away. At this point, you will have two options to link your accounts. One is to use your phone camera to scan the QR code. The other is to sign in through the internet browser on your PS5 by selecting “Use Browser.” Using the QR code scanner is faster, so we suggest that one.<\/p>\n
