If you’re a beginner to Phasmophobia<\/a>, you might be wondering how you can get your hands on the harder difficulties so you can solve some more challenging puzzles. When you start out in the game, after all, you’ll be pretty limited as to what maps you can access and what you can do.<\/p>\n

If you’re looking to change your difficulty in Phasmophobia, look no further. We’re here to help you understand the varying difficulty levels in the game and how you can switch between them with ease.<\/p>\n

How To Change Difficulty In Phasmophobia<\/h2>\n

To select your difficulty level in Phasmophobia, select a map of the appropriate difficulty. (Picture: Kinetic Games)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n
You can set your Difficulty level in Phasmophobia after selecting either ‘Single Player’ or ‘Multiplayer’ from the main screen. From there, you need to walk up to the board. You’ll see your name, your friends’ names (if you’re playing with friends), and some basic info including your difficulty level on the board.<\/p>\n
To change the Difficulty level, just click the eye next to your current difficulty level and select one. You can click left or right to look at all of them.<\/p>\n
Difficulty Levels In Phasmophobia<\/h2>\n

There are five different difficulty levels in Phasmophobia for you to choose from. Which difficulty level you choose is determined by the map you’re on.<\/p>\n
These are the difficulty levels available in Phasmophobia:<\/p>\n

  • Amateur<\/li>\n
  • Intermediate<\/li>\n
  • Professional<\/li>\n
  • Nightmare<\/li>\n
  • Insanity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    As you’d imagine, the maps of each difficulty get increasingly harder. It will become more and more challenging to identify the identity of the Ghost as you go up in difficulty, so it’s best to start out with Amateur and work your way up. The game forces you to try out some Amateur maps before moving on to ensure that you have a sense for how to play the game without overwhelming yourself in Professional, Nightmare or Insanity. <\/p>\n
