One of the key mechanics in Phasmophobia<\/a> is called Sanity; when you’re around Ghosts, your Sanity will fall, though there are many ways to keep it up while you play. If you’re new to Phasmophobia, you’ll need to know how to monitor Sanity so you can keep yourself and your team alive for longer.<\/p>\n

In this guide, we’re here to help you do just that. We’ll cover how to monitor Sanity in Phasmophobia, as well as which activities will hinder you by draining it.<\/p>\n

How To Monitor Sanity In Phasmophobia<\/h2>\n

You’ll need to be in the van to access Sanity levels,<\/strong> but it’s easy to see your and your team’s Sanity levels once you’re there. Just take a look at the screen, and you’ll see something that says “Team Sanity.” The game will display an average of your entire team’s Sanity as well as the Sanity levels of each individual player. The most important information on the screen is your Average Sanity, which determines whether most Ghosts will begin hunting you.<\/p>\n
What Sanity Level Is Good In Phasmophobia?<\/h2>\n
What’s most important is that you keep your team’s overall Sanity above 50% to avoid being hunted by a Ghost. <\/strong>To ensure that your Sanity doesn’t fall this low, you can ensure that you always have at least one player keeping an eye on your team’s Sanity levels and reporting them to the other players. <\/p>\n
Taking Sanity Pills will also allow you to boost your Sanity if it falls too low at any given point.<\/p>\n
What Drains Sanity In Phasmophobia?<\/h2>\n

As Sanity is one of the most important mechanics in the game, there are a lot of activities in Phasmophobia that can be a detriment to your Sanity.<\/p>\n
Here are just a few things that could lower your Sanity:<\/p>\n

  • Witnessing a Ghost activity or gathering evidence<\/li>\n
  • Looking at the Ghost<\/li>\n
  • Staying in rooms that are not well-lit<\/li>\n
  • Angering the Ghost (while using an Ouija board)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    Additionally, if another player on your team dies, every teammate’s Sanity will immediately lower by 15%.<\/p>\n
    The higher your difficulty, the more your Sanity will go down when these events occur.<\/p>\n
