In Behaviour Interactive’s Meet Your Maker<\/a>, players will take on the role of the Custodian, a clone tasked with gathering uncorrupted genetic material, stealing, or defending it in an attempt to complete the Chimera Project. But can you do it with friends from other platforms via cross-play and cross-progression in Meet Your Maker?<\/p>\n

This article explains if Meet Your Maker has cross-play or cross-progression<\/strong> functionality and what cross-content<\/strong> means ahead of the game’s launch on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation on 4 April 2023.<\/p>\n

Meet Your Maker will launch simultaneously on PC (via Steam), Xbox One, Xbox Series X\/S, PS4, and PS5 consoles. There’s no word on a Nintendo Switch version, in case you were wondering.<\/p>\n

With so many platforms, fans are wondering if the game will support cross-play and cross-progression at launch. Well, we’ve got some bad news for cross-play fans. The game’s official FAQ<\/a> explains:<\/p>\n

The game will not support cross-play nor cross-progression at launch.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

It is important to note that the FAQ makes it clear that Meet Your Maker will not support cross-play or cross-progression “at launch,” which doesn’t rule out that the game could get cross-play and\/or cross-progression in the future.<\/p>\n

The FAQ also mentions cross-content:<\/p>\n

The game supports cross-content across all platforms (ability to raid an Outpost built on other platforms).<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Cross-content in Meet Your Maker is an important aspect which we are happy to see launch with the game. After all, it focuses on building and raiding, where players design every level. This means you will be able to, for example, raid an outpost on PC built by someone on PS4.<\/p>\n

Further details about the cross-content feature in Meet Your Maker have not been revealed, but we will update this section if any caveats or additional information becomes avaialble. <\/p>\n

So there you have it, Meet Your Maker does not support cross-play or cross-progression on launch (4 April 2023), but it does support cross-content.<\/p>\n
