Pokémon GO<\/a> has an array of items that can heal injured Pokémon and replenish their health. These items can often be located within your Bag and are earned in various ways in-game. More specifically, Revives and Potions function like medicine to provide healing effects and restore Hit Points (HP) and overall health. Here’s what we know about Revives and Potions, including how they work and how to get them in Pokémon GO.<\/p>\n

What Is A Revive And Potion Item In Pokémon GO?<\/h2>\n

A Revive <\/strong>item functions similarly to a Potion, temporarily allowing a Trainer to restore the HP of a fainting Pokémon<\/a>. This can only work if the fainting Pokémon’s HP is at 0, for which you can access your Bag and use any of the Revive items you may have.<\/p>\n

From the Map View, go to the Main Menu, select Items, and scroll until you’ve found the desired Revive item. You can choose from a list of Pokémon who has 0 HP and apply the item on them for it to restore around half their HP.<\/p>\n

Potions<\/strong>, on the other hand, can also restore a Pokémon’s HP at varying increments; however, it mainly applies to Pokémon who are hurt or injured. As detailed above, these can be used anytime during your gameplay and are also found in your Bag<\/a>.<\/p>\n

After you’ve chosen your selected Potion, a list of injured Pokémon or Pokémon with missing HP values will appear. Then, you can give the injured Pokémon the Potion, which will replenish their HP and heal their wounds.<\/p>\n

How To Get A Revive And Potion In Pokémon GO?<\/h2>\n

Two kinds of Revives are available in Pokémon GO: Regular Revives and Max Revives. For Potions, there are four types: Regular Potions, Super Potions, Hyper Potions, and Max Potions.<\/p>\n

Revives can be acquired when spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops<\/a>; however, each type of Revive can be earned at different Trainer Levels. For example, Regular Revives can be obtained at Trainer Level 5 onwards from PokéStops and as a reward after ranking up between Trainer Levels 5 to 29; Max Revives can be acquired at Trainer Level 30 from PokéStops and as a reward for ranking up from Trainer Level 30 onwards.<\/p>\n

Potions can also be earned by spinning Photo Discs at PokéStops and different Trainer Levels. For example, you can get Regular Potions at Trainer Level 5 as a reward when ranking up between Trainer Levels 5-9, as it will grant the injured Pokémon 20 HP.<\/p>\n

Super Potions are earned at Trainer Level 10 and rewarded when ranking between Trainer Levels 10-14. Applying this on an injured Pokémon will recover 50 HP and heal any effects or wounds they may have.<\/p>\n

Hyper Potions can be received at Trainer Level 15, when leveling up between Trainer Levels 15-24, and restores 200 HP to the Pokémon. The Max Potion, the best Potion item, is earned at Trainer Level 25, and when ranking from Level 25 onwards, it fully restores a Pokémon’s HP.<\/p>\n

Another way to earn Revives and Potions is by completing the Field Research tasks<\/a> for the ongoing Team GO Rocket Takeover event<\/a>. Likewise, you can also earn them by completing the event’s Special Research story, Shadowy Skirmishes<\/a>, for which you can also earn XP, Stardust, Rocket, and Super Rocket Radar.<\/p>\n
