Blizzard isn’t pulling any punches with Diablo 3 Season 28<\/a>, as the last season before the release of Diablo 4. In Diablo 3 Season 28, aka Rites of Sanctuary, there’s the Altar of Rites feature<\/a>, a plethora of balance changes<\/a>, and more. One of the most exciting new mechanics is a new Kanai’s Cube recipe in Diablo 3, allowing Nephalem to upgrade a Legendary item into a Primal Legendary!<\/p>\n

This guide explains exactly what you need to do in order to upgrade a Legendary to a Primal Legendary in Diablo 3 Season 28, including the Kanai’s Cube recipe cost and the materials required.<\/p>\n

Upgrade Legendary to Primal in Diablo 3 Season 28: Materials Cost<\/h2>\n

Since this is a Kanai’s Cube recipe, you will need to get the Kanai’s Cube<\/a>, unlocking it for your seasonal character in Diablo 3 Season 28.<\/p>\n
Once unlocked, you will be able to upgrade any non-crafted Legendary item to Ancient Primal quality by spending Primordial Ashes.<\/p>\n
The Kanai’s Cube recipe is called Curiosity of Lorath Nahr, with a bit of flavor text reading:<\/p>\n

  • The non-crafted Legendary item you want to upgrade to Primal.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
    There are some caveats, however, as only one upgraded Primal Item may be worn at a time, and upgraded Primal Items do not retain the properties of the Legendary Item that was used. New affixes are rolled for all upgraded Primal Items.<\/p>\n

    We suggest running Solo Greater Rifts on the highest level you feel comfortable finishing quickly, and just keep grinding and grinding. Remember, you will also need  340 Primordial Ashes<\/strong> in total to unlock all three Legendary Potion Powers<\/a> during the season. <\/p>\n
