Diablo 4<\/a> ushers in Lilith’s return to Sanctuary, leaving Nephalem to “abandon all hope.” With Diablo Immortal’s direction, some gamers wonder if Diablo 4 will be free-to-play (F2P)<\/strong> as well or if there is any hope for a way to at least test the upcoming ARPG.<\/p>\n

This article explains Diablo 4’s pricing and how you can potentially play the game for free, jumping into Sanctuary in this next-gen ARPG experience without the need to open your wallet, so let’s get started.<\/p>\n

Is Diablo 4 a Free-To-Play (F2P) Game?<\/h2>\n

Despite Diablo Immortal going the free-to-play route, Diablo 4, the next mainline entry in the iconic ARPG franchise, is certainly not. To make it abundantly clear, Diablo 4 is not a F2P title. <\/p>\n
The game will set you back $69.99 for the Standard Edition on PC, Xbox, and PlayStation. There are also a few other Editions, including the Diablo 4 Collector’s Edition<\/a> (which doesn’t actually include the game), to look at.<\/p>\n

Despite the game not being F2P, there might be some ways to at least get a taste of Lilith’s return to Sanctuary for free…<\/p>\n
Any Way To Play Diablo 4 Free?<\/h2>\n

If you are wondering if there is any way to play Diablo 4 for free, then the answer is NO.<\/p>\n
At the time of writing, there is no official confirmation that the game will come to Xbox Game Pass. If, however, the Microsoft and Activision Blizzard deal<\/a> gets fully approved, we are almost certain Diablo 4 will arrive on Xbox Game Pass, essentially making it “free” for PC, Xbox One, and Series X\/S console gamers, not counting the subscription cost, of course.<\/p>\n
A final note is that Diablo 4 will have Seasons and connected Battle Passes. This won’t be a pay-to-win affair, with the Premium Battle Pass only featuring cosmetic additions.<\/p>\n
