Getting better equipment will require a special resource called Blood Shards, and if you need to get your hands on them, then we have you covered.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Below, we&#8217;ll show you how to farm Blood Shards quickly in Diablo 3 and get your hands on the special equipment pieces that they give you access to. So without further delay, let&#8217;s get farming.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><pre><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"><strong>Update on 2 May 2023:<\/strong> We've updated this article with the quickest possible way to farm Bloodshards in Diablo 3 Season 28.<\/span><\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Diablo 3 Bloodshards: How To Farm Quickly<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">In Diablo 3 Reaper of Soul&#8217;s Adventure Mode, Blood Shards are an alternative type of currency that drops from Horadric Caches and <a href=\"https:\/\/diablo.fandom.com\/wiki\/Rift_Guardian\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Rift Guardians<\/a>. And to begin farming them, this will be our starting point.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">You&#8217;ll first need to begin with defeating and farming Rift Guardians from Normal to Torment I difficulty, which will all drop the same amount of shards for each Rift Guardian you defeat. The number of Shards you can get will also increase in Greater Rifts, and is often more than in standard Rifts, making this a significantly more dependable means of farming Blood Shards.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Before update 2.0.0, you were locked into a max carrying capacity of 500 Blood Shards, but now with the new update, you can increase this capacity by 10 for each new rank of Greater Rifts you defeat. This increase can be added infinitely, so we recommend doing this often to increase your max Blood Shard capacity, but also to farm shards as you do it.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Blood Shard Uses and Prices in Diablo 3<\/span><\/h2>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Now that you have a decent number of Blood Shards on your person, your next thought will likely be what you can purchase with them. On a more basic level, the Blood Shards can be used to buy unidentified items from Kadala&#8217;s, as well as receive a 10% chance to roll a Legendary item (regardless of difficulty or magic find) or a Set item.
