Each of the playtests has added some brand new features to the game &#8211;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dark-and-darker\/solo-queue\"> for example, the new solo queue<\/a>&nbsp; &#8211; leaving hopeful players excited and asking, &#8220;When will the next Dark and Darker playtest be?!&#8221; as each session concludes. After the fifth playtest recently came to an end, many fans have been wondering<strong> when the next Dark and Darker playtest will come out.<\/strong> In this article, we&#8217;ll answer your questions about the 6th Dark and Darker playtest, according to what we know so far.<\/p>\n<p><pre>19 July 2023 Update - Page updated with the latest news and leaks.<\/pre>\n<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h1rei8lv3\">Latest News<\/h2>\n<p>Just below we&#8217;ll keep you updated on the latest goings on, leaks and official news:<\/p>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>19 July 2023 &#8211; Ironmace Reveals New Gameplay &amp; Features<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dark-and-darker\/to-add-warlock-class\">Dark &amp; Darker<\/a>&nbsp;has revealed new weapons and a new boss with their latest gameplay trailer.<\/p>\n<p>In the latest gameplay trailer, there are exciting updates for the bard class. New textures and weapons, including a flute, have been introduced, along with new songs that can enhance your allies. However, there is no official information on the effects of these spells, so their usefulness is unclear until Ironmace decides to tell us something. Hopefully, something is coming soon.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>1 July 2023 &#8211; The wait goes on<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>So we didn&#8217;t get a playtest in June, we wonder if July will bring better news.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>1 June 2023 &#8211; Another playtest this month?<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>Assuming the devs stick to their plan of releasing a playtest every two months, we should hopefully get a playtest for Dark and Darker at some point later this month.<\/p>\n<p>Well, fingers crossed anyway.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n<section class=\"accordion-box\">\n<div class=\"accordion-box-title\"><strong>10 May 2023 &#8211; Early Access Launch Delayed<\/strong><\/div>\n<div class=\"accordion-box-description\">\n<p>Unsurprisingly considering Ironmace&#8217;s ongoing legal battle with Nexon, the studio has today announced that the early access launch of Dark and Darker has been postponed.<\/p>\n<div id=\"ad-unit-1\"><\/div>\n<p>&#8220;We truly hate not being able to communicate as freely as we usually do, however, due to the sensitive nature of our current situation, we can&rsquo;t divulge too much information right now,&#8221; Ironmace said on the Dark and Darker Discord.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;I know this isn&rsquo;t the announcement everyone wanted to hear but we needed to let our fans know that the Early Access release has been delayed a bit. Just know that we are working on a ton of things to ensure the game gets out to you as soon as possible. We ask everyone to hold the line just a little longer. news regarding Dark and Darker seemed to revolve around a bizarre GoFundMe campaign which the devs then promptly pulled.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pcgamer.com\/dark-and-darker-dev-starts-and-then-pauses-gofundme-for-nexon-legal-battle-the-reality-of-the-situation-is-that-their-end-goal-is-to-bleed-us-dry-in-court-fees\/\">PCGamesr<\/a>, an Ironmace admin on the Dark and Darker Discord named Luci published an open letter, which included a link to the GoFundMe.<\/p>\n<p>&#8220;We aren&#8217;t a big ass studio, and we don&#8217;t have an infinite supply of money like Nexon,&#8221; Luci wrote in her open letter. &#8220;The reality of the situation is that their end goal is to bleed us dry in court fees. That said, we expect Dark and Darker playtest 6 to take place sometime in <strong>June 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The last playtest ended in April, with the one before it coming in February 2022. In other words, Dark and Darker&#8217;s developers have released a new playtest roughly every 2 months.<\/p>\n<p>IRONMACE Games have a reputation for being extremely communicative about their upcoming game on their official Twitter &#8211; however, with the ongoing legal trouble surrounding the game, we wouldn&#8217;t be surprised if they go dark and don&#8217;t announce anything until much closer to the next playtest takes place.<\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h1rei8lv5\">Dark And Darker Playtest Release Dates<\/h2>\n<p>To get a better idea of when playtest 6 and other future playtests might come out, it&#8217;s important to take a look at the dates of when the past Dark and Darker playtests were released.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Dark And Darker Playtest #1 &#8211; <\/strong>19th August 2022 to 21 August 2022<\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark And Darker Playtest #2 &#8211; <\/strong>28th October 2022 to 30th October 2022<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark And Darker Playtest #3 &#8211; <\/strong>16th December 2022 to 23 December 2022<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark And Darker Playtest #4 &#8211;<\/strong> 6 February 2023 to 16th February 2023<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark And Darker Playtest #5 &#8211; <\/strong>14 April 2023 to 19 April 2023<strong><br \/><\/strong><\/li>\n<li><strong>Dark and Darker Playtest #6 &#8211; TBC, potentially July 2023<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>That&#8217;s all we know so far about the 6th Dark and Darker playtest, including when you can play it.
