They were a force in European Rocket League, if not exactly top tier, reaching the quarter-finals of RLCS Season 5 World Championship, their best performance&nbsp;and last time playing in Rocket League&#8217;s premier competition.<\/p>\n<p>That team, who at the time also included Jordan &#8220;EyeIgnite&#8221; Stellon, disbanded in July 2018, part of the organisation&#8217;s drive to field rosters geographically close to their Dallas, Texas offices.<\/p>\n<p>The Vanguard roster meets those requirements with all the players residing in North America &#8211; whether the team will relocate to Dallas and play from a team house is not yet known.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"Team Envy sign Vanguard ex Ghost Roster Rocket League\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/odNW9oZ8pTCHoDm_PTC6gWPkPow0P14OilYazq5Miig\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL1RlYW1fRW52eS5wbmc\" style=\"width: 600px; height: 228px;\" width=\"820\" height=\"312\" loading=\"lazy\"><br \/>\n<span style=\"font-size:11px;\">(Credit: Team Envy)<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Hopes will be high for the team, after singing mist in the off-season they started<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/rocket-league\/rlcs-season-9-week-1-round-up\"> RLCS Season 9 inconsistently<\/a>&nbsp;but gradually improved, with Atomic in particular impressing finishing in 6th place and earning a spot at the Regional Championship. They would go on to defeat&nbsp;Cloud9 and Soniq Sushuenna, before being knocked out by Spacestation Gaming in the semi-finals.<\/p>\n<p>Ghost Gaming subsequently released the team due to financial difficulties experienced by the organisation, they also released teams and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/fortnite\/fortnite-star-bizzle-signs-with-faze-clan\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">individuals<\/a> in Smite and Fortnite.<\/p>\n<p>Team Envy will be hoping for more success than that, with this&nbsp;new North American based roster adding to <a href=\"https:\/\/envy.gg\/\" rel=\"nofollow\" target=\"_blank\">their existing teams<\/a> in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare, and Overwatch, where they played under the Dallas Empire and Dallas Fuel banners respectively.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>\n&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Esport organisation Team Envy has&nbsp;re-entered Rocket League esports with the signing of the&nbsp;Vanguard roster, formerly known as Ghost Gaming.
