Most Stardew Valley players are no strangers to the game’s random events, in addition to the planned ones like the Flower Dance<\/a>; as you play the game, you’ll experience quite a few random happenings. One of the most confusing random events in Stardew Valley, though is ‘A Train Is Passing Through Stardew Valley.’ You’ll receive this message seemingly out of nowhere, and if you’ve never gotten it before, you might not know exactly what it means or what to do when it shows up.<\/p>\n

If a train is passing through Pelican Town in your playthrough of Stardew Valley, there are some things you can do to take advantage of this exciting and somewhat rare event. Let’s explain what to do when you see the ‘A Train Is Passing Through’ event in Stardew Valley. <\/strong><\/p>\n

‘A Train Is Passing Through’ Event Explained<\/h2>\n

To trigger the ‘A Train Is Passing Through’ event, you’ll need to satisfy a few parameters first. You’ll need to get to the 3rd of Summer in your first year<\/a>, when you’ll be able to access the Railroad. After that point, the event can potentially be triggered.<\/p>\n

A train could pass through Pelican Town at any time between 9 am and 6 pm, <\/strong>provided that you are outside and not in your home or a shop. You’ll know that the train is arriving because you’ll see the event notification and hear a loud train whistle.<\/p>\n

The train doesn’t always come at the same time, but it will arrive roughly at the times below:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

Once the train comes, you’ll want to head to the Railroad as quickly as you can<\/strong> – but don’t run in front of the train, since it can harm you! Wait until the train passes by on the tracks, then pick up the loot left behind.<\/p>\n

You’ll likely be able to find resources like Ore and even rare items like Leprechaun Shoes. There are many different types of trains, so be sure to head to the tracks each time one arrives to find out what kind of loot has been left behind.<\/p>\n
