Honkai Star Rail<\/a> has some of the most beautifully designed and unique characters ever. Unfortunately, most of the more powerful characters are locked behind Honkai Star Rail’s summoning system. Players will need to spend their valuable and finite resources in order to acquire characters in this game and likely will not have enough currency to grab everyone they want. <\/p>\n

Thankfully, there are lots of characters in Honkai Star Rail that can be acquired for absolutely free! Whether it be via progression in the story or completing several missions, these characters can be obtained for nothing more than a little time investment. <\/p>\n

So, if you are interested in all Honkai Star Rail free characters, you’ve come to the right place. Let’s take a look at all the free characters in Honkai Star Rail and how to get them!<\/p>\n

Free Honkai Star Rail Characters: How To Get<\/h2>\n

In total, there are eight free characters available in Honkai Star Rail. These are all acquired through different means, and so we will break down how you can grab each of them individually. <\/p>\n

Trailblazer<\/h3>\n

The Trailblazer is the main player character in Honkai Star Rail. This character will be chosen by you in the opening of the game, where you have the option to either select the female or male Trailblazer option. The Trailblazer will start as a Physical unit but can eventually be changed to Fire. <\/p>\n

March 7th<\/h3>\n

March 7th is a four-star Ice unit that can be obtained by playing the main story of the game. March 7th is acquired in the opening tutorial along with Dan Heng. She is a great support character with a powerful Technique that can freeze enemies before initiating combat. <\/p>\n

Dan Heng<\/h3>\n

Dan Heng is a four-star Wind unit that can be obtained by playing the main story of the game. Dan Heng is obtained in the opening tutorial along with March 7th. Dan Heng is a great single-target damage dealer, perfect for taking on bosses.<\/p>\n

Asta<\/h3>\n

Asta is a four-star fire element character that can be obtained during the opening tutorial of the game. Specifically, as you play through the opening, the game will teach you how to do summons, and you will be forced to spend a Star Rail Pass on the standard banner. At this time, everyone will obtain Asta. <\/p>\n

Natasha<\/h3>\n

Natasha is a four-star healer and will likely carry those unable to obtain Bailu through the early stages of the game. She is obtained by completing the story mission “Lying in Rust.”<\/p>\n

Herta<\/h3>\n

Herta is another four-star Ice element character that is obtained by completing main story quests, specifically after completing the mission “Lingering Shadows.” Herta is an AOE damage dealer great at taking on multiple enemies at a time. <\/p>\n

Qingque<\/h3>\n

Qingque is a four-star Quantum character that is obtained for completing floor three of the Forgotten Hall. <\/p>\n

Serval<\/h3>\n

Serval is a four-star reward given to all players for free for reaching the milestone of 3.5M pre-registers for the game. She is a lightning element character that can be claimed from every player’s inbox at the start of the game. <\/p>\n
