One of the more popular weapons in Elden Ring is the Claymore<\/strong>. Although it looks similar to the Bastard Sword<\/a>, it is a little bit different. With any of the weapons in Elden Ring, you will first want to find the weapon before considering using it in your adventures. There are a couple of things to note before heading off to find this particular great sword. This weapon is completely missable and is in an optional area of the game. You will need to be in the Limgrave <\/strong>region in Elden Ring.<\/p>\n

Head as far south as you can, and eventually, you will reach Castle Morne<\/strong>, the location where the Claymore can be found. In the main courtyard area, hug the right wall, which will lead you to an entrance that is to the north. Once you head into that entrance, you will eventually find the Claymore hidden away in a treasure chest.<\/p>\n

So how good is the Claymore in Elden Ring? It is a pretty good early-game weapon, especially if you upgrade it. The sword will end up with B scaling in both strength and dexterity<\/strong>. The great thing about the Claymore is the ability to do thrusting attacks. The standard damage for a fully upgraded Claymore is 338. The Claymore requires 16 strength and 13 dexterity to use it.<\/p>\n

The Claymore will start with the Lion’s Claw weapon skill<\/strong>. It is a great skill to close distance and take down enemies, but it costs 20 FP to use, which might be a lot for strength builds. The Claymore can also be infused with a large number of Ash of Wars if you do not like the Lion’s Claw. You can also give the Claymore a lot of different affinities to scale with whatever stat you have the most of.<\/p>\n
