Dead Island 2<\/a> takes place across several regions of real-life LA. You will explore places like Beverly Hills, Venice Beach, Hollywood Boulevard, and more. <\/p>\n

This isn’t an open-world game per se, and these places aren’t inter-connected. However, these are still vast open-ended regions, and you will be going back and forth between these areas to scavenge resources and complete new side quests. Naturally, walking all the way across can be tedious, so here’s our guide explaining how to fast travel in Dead Island 2.<\/p>\n

Dead Island 2 fast-travel explained<\/h2>\n

You unlock the option to fast-travel after reaching Venice Beach in Dead Island 2. (Picture: Shreyansh \/ Deep Silver)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n

You unlock fast travel halfway through the main story in Dead Island 2 after reaching Venice Beach. Even then, you can’t simply hop on the map menu and travel back and forth between different districts of the game seamlessly. <\/p>\n

To fast-travel in Dead Island 2, you have to find and interact with a fast-travel map in the game. There’s at least one of these in the main safe houses of every district. <\/p>\n

Interact with a fast-travel map and select the district you want to travel to. While this isn’t seamless, sadly, this is the only way to fast-travel in Dead Island 2. It also means, despite having a fast-travel system, you will still have to walk a lot to reach your desired destination in HELL-A.<\/p>\n
