It can also be used in two different Fishing Bundles, alongside other fish like the Catfish<\/a>. You can even give this fish as a gift to villagers, as some of them like it. No matter why you need or want to get your hands on a Sturgeon, it’s more than possible if you know when and where to look for the aquatic creature.<\/p>\n

In this guide, we’ll walk you through how to catch a Sturgeon in Stardew Valley<\/strong> so you can finally get one of these rare fish.<\/p>\n

How To Catch Sturgeon In Stardew Valley<\/h2>\n

Sturgeon can be found in the mountain lake<\/strong> during the summer<\/strong> or winter seasons<\/strong> from the hours of 6 am to 7 pm<\/strong>. Sturgeon have quite a low catch rate, so you might need to fish for a while if you want to ensure that you get one – but if you’re in the right place at the right time, you’ll no doubt get one eventually.<\/p>\n

If it isn’t summer or winter, you can try using Magic Bait to catch a Sturgeon. Magic Bait allows you to catch any fish regardless of the weather, season, or time. However, this also isn’t a guaranteed way to catch one, since there are lots of different types of fish you can get on your line this way. It’s also quite expensive – so you might just be better off waiting until the hottest or coldest seasons of the year roll around.<\/p>\n

To actually catch a Sturgeon,  you’ll need to rely on the help of either a Fiberglass or Iridium Rod. These types of rods are quite expensive, but it’s challenging to catch rare fish like the Sturgeon without them. In fact, you’ll also want to add tackle to your line if you want the highest chance of reeling in your fish. This type of fish can easily wiggle away, so try attaching the Trap Bobber tackle for a little extra reassurance. <\/p>\n
