If you’ve found yourself in this situation and just want to know how to do a quick “reset” in DayZ, then this guide has you covered. Below we’ll walk you through how you can kill yourself and respawn in DayZ. <\/span><\/p>\n

How To Kill Yourself and Respawn in DayZ<\/span><\/h2>\n

As mentioned before, knowing how to kill your character and have them respond is a great trick to have on hand. It can spare you the long, arduous wait for your character to bleed out due to a gunshot or die from starvation or illness that may have grounded you. <\/span><\/p>\n

So let’s take a look at how you can kill yourself and respawn in DayZ:<\/span><\/p>\n

  1. Find any weapon<\/a> that you can use. Even tools will work for this purpose. <\/span><\/li>\n
  2. Select your weapon and reload it if necessary. Then press F11 and wait for the animation to complete.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. Now your character should be ready for his digital suicide. Just left-click, and you’ll be booted to the infamous “You’re Dead” screen.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Just press Escape and then respawn, and a new game of DayZ will start.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    This will respawn you into a new game, just as it would if you had died naturally. It gives you a quick and easy method to reset after having some bad luck and makes for a smoother gaming experience, as you won’t have to wait for ages to die in some random bushes after taking a bullet from a sniper or catching an illness<\/a>. <\/span><\/p>\n
