After the PUBG Mobile Pro League<\/a> (PMPL) Americas Season 1 were previously postponed due to the virus outbreak, a start date has been announced for its return in a new online format. <\/p>\n

The PMPL season for North and South America will take place from 6-28th June, while a Scrims format has also been added across the four regions to showcase more matches.<\/p>\n

Ahead of the Americas season in June, PMPL Americas Scrims will take place starting 7th May, which will offer viewers the chance to see matches four days per week until 31st May with a daily prize pool.<\/p>\n

The PMPL Americas will also mark the inclusion of new feature ‘On Fire Card’ – with teams able to use their ‘On Fire Card’ once per day during weekend competitions to either double their kill points or gain 50% more placement points. <\/p>\n

James Yang, director of PUBG Mobile global esports, said: “In order to ensure the safety of everyone, which is of paramount importance to us, we have decided to completely reimagine the first season of the PMPL Americas as an online competition.<\/p>\n

“While this has not been a decision we’ve taken lightly, we do think it also generates new opportunities and exciting avenues for teams to gain even more exposure, while enjoying an improved format and quality, with a new exciting twist to it!”<\/p>\n

The top teams from the PUBG Mobile Pro League will qualify for the PUBG Mobile World League, which has been delayed due to the virus outbreak to an unknown date. <\/p>\n

Teams from the World League will be shooting for the chance to compete in the World Championship set to take place in December with a $5 million USD prize pool. <\/p>\n
