How Do The Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers Work?<\/h2>\n

According to Nintendo, these redeemable tickets come in two vouchers which players have a specific time to redeem against eligible games. You will require a current Nintendo Switch Online membership to buy and redeem the Game Vouchers as utilizing a free trial of this membership or whose membership has expired will be unable to own these Game Vouchers<\/a>.<\/p>\n
On the flip side, should you redeem a Game Voucher and your Switch Online membership expires, you can still play the redeemed games on your Switch console. These Game Vouchers allow you to purchase new and existing games within the current catalog at a discounted rate and receive around 5% of My Nintendo Gold Points “of your total paid amount.”<\/p>\n
Additionally, any time you’ve redeemed these tickets, you’ll become qualified for My Nintendo promotions, with more information on the official Nintendo site. These vouchers last 12 months (one calendar year) from the date it was purchased, and you can have a maximum of eight vouchers linked to your account.<\/p>\n
How To Buy Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers?<\/h2>\n
We’ve previously revealed that Game Vouchers can be acquired through the Nintendo eShop or the Nintendo website<\/a>. On the console, head to the Nintendo Switch Online tab, locate Switch Game Vouchers and view the available deals.<\/p>\n

Choose the voucher deal you wish to purchase and select “Proceed to Purchase” before hitting “Complete Purchase” for a successful transaction. If you’re buying online, visit the official Nintendo site and sign into your account with your Nintendo ID login details.<\/p>\n
Find the Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers option from the Nintendo Switch Online Exclusive Offers menu and, like on the console, view the available deals before selecting one that meets your gaming needs. Choose the “Proceed to Purchase” option, and using your account password, complete the transaction by entering your banking details.<\/p>\n
It’s worth pointing out that the Game Vouchers can’t be refunded or exchanged for a different item on the Nintendo eShop or online. They cannot be gifted to friends as they’re linked to your Nintendo account.<\/p>\n
How To Redeem Nintendo Switch Game Vouchers?<\/h2>\n
With the Game Vouchers acquired can be viewed by accessing the Switch Online tab through the Nintendo Account Shop menu, according to Nintendo. The details include all the vouchers and their expiry dates, while the purchasing history can be found on the Nintendo Accounts page.<\/p>\n

Redeeming them can be done from your Switch console or the Nintendo site by accessing the User menu or signing into your account. For the Switch console, click on your User image top left of the screen, select the Switch Online option, and then the “Redeem” tab.<\/p>\n
This will automatically select the voucher with the closest expiry date, and from the Nintendo eShop, you can choose the eligible game you want to buy. Proceed to purchase the game to have completed redeeming a Game Voucher.<\/p>\n
Sign in with your Nintendo Account login details on the Nintendo website and select the Switch Online option to view the available Game Vouchers. Like on the console, the voucher with the closest expiry date is selected, and you can choose from a list of eligible games to use the voucher.<\/p>\n
Finally, select “Redeem Voucher” twice to complete the transaction, but you can also find the eligible game first and select “Redeem Voucher” to buy the game. Both methods also apply to eligible games pre-ordered, for example, Pikmin 4 and The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, as only one voucher is used per game.<\/p>\n
