As such, here&#8217;s my list of the top 10 game announcements I would love to see at this year&#8217;s PlayStation Showcase.<\/span><\/p>\n<div class=\"mce-toc\">\n<h2>Table of Contents<\/h2>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio7a\">1. Bloodborne Remaster\/Remake for PS5 and PC<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio7b\">2. Haven Studios AAA live-service title<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio8c\">3. Quite literally anything from Bungie<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio8d\">4. An Infamous sequel or a new IP from Sucker Punch Productions (Not Ghost of Tsushima 2)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio8e\">5. Fumito Ueda&#8217;s next game<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio8f\">6. Sony Santa Monica Studio&#8217;s next game (more precisely, the next game from Cory Barlog)<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#mcetoc_1h089jio8g\">7. (Picture: FromSoftware)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Alright, let me get this out of the way. A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.playstation.com\/en-gb\/games\/bloodborne\/\">Bloodborne<\/a> remaster or remake for current-gen platforms is still one of the most requested video games out there. I really can&#8217;t think of a better way to kick off a PlayStation Showcase at this point in time.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">For some unknown reason, Sony and PlayStation have been completely oblivious to this request and, for better or worse, have been working on remakes or remasters that quite frankly not a lot of people have been yearning for.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With a potential Bloodborne remaster, PlayStation wouldn&#8217;t just be making one of the best video games of all time more accessible and presumably better, it would also be proving that despite being the market leader of this generation, it&#8217;s still willing to listen to its fans.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio7b\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">2. Haven Studios AAA live-service title<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/nkynhWc-jE_BeeeVfVJQCs6wotcPeRf_E8jHD7kLBzI\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy9qYWRlcmF5bW9uZHN0dWRpbzEuanBn\" alt=\"haven studios\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Jade Raymond Studio has been working on a AAA multiplayer game with live service elements. (Picture: PlayStation)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Jade Raymond-led studio started developing its first AAA multiplayer game long before it was acquired by Sony last year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">PlayStation has at least ten live-service games in development, but this one arguably stands out because of Raymond&#8217;s incredible legacy. It&#8217;s also been in development since 2021 and should be in a place where it&#8217;s worth showing off to the fans. If PlayStation had to showcase only one first-party live-service game at its rumored showcase, I would put my money on Haven Studios&#8217; debut title.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8c\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">3. Quite literally anything from Bungie<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/cTtKtdGRuKq-Otf31R88Z984NqyI4XxteN0YZZa-g-U\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9EZXN0aW55XzIvc2Vhc29ub2Z0aGVkZWVwL0Rlc3RpbnlfMl9TZWFzb25fb2ZfdGhlX0RlZXBfQXJtb3IuanBn\" alt=\"new bungie game\" width=\"945\" height=\"546\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Bungie is PlayStation&#8217;s most valuable acquisition in recent history, and a new game announcement from it would be great. (Picture: Bungie)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Last year, PlayStation stealthily acquired the creators of Halo and Destiny for a whopping &#36;3.7 billion. It was a strange acquisition in many ways, more so because Bungie seems to have a lot of freedom on how and where it ships its future games. For instance, future Destiny updates will come to all platforms instead of being PlayStation exclusive.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">We haven&#8217;t seen a new game from Bungie since Destiny 2 in 2017, and while there have been multiple rumors of its upcoming projects, none of them have been confirmed or even suggested by the studio itself.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With Bungie being PlayStation&#8217;s biggest acquisition ever, it goes without saying that fans would expect it to have some sort of presence at this rumored showcase. Whether it&#8217;s a new game announcement (Rumoured to be called &#8216;Matter&#8217;), next-gen tech showcase, or that rumored Destiny TV series, I would love to see quite literally anything from Bungie.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8d\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">4. An Infamous sequel or a new IP from Sucker Punch Productions (Not Ghost of Tsushima 2)<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/s2Q3IWiwvdtBBRVExk8MYdM1BSWA_qYtkHKHe2CnTqI\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy9pbmZhbW91cy5qcGc\" alt=\"infamous\" width=\"1024\" height=\"653\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">A new IP or a new Infamous game from Sucker Punch Productions would be refreshing. (Picture: Sucker Punch Productions)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Ghost of Tsushima was a commercial and critical success, and it&#8217;s likely that sooner or later, PlayStation would want to cash in on that success and make a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/ghost-of-tsushima-2\/release-date-news\">sequel<\/a>. I&#8217;m also aware of the job listings that suggest the sequel is already in the works.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">However, I wish Sucker Punch would take the Insomniac approach and give some love to its legacy IPs, for instance, Infamous. A new IP would also be exciting. I just feel like a Ghost of Tsushima sequel wouldn&#8217;t be very refreshing among other upcoming open-world RPGs set in Japan, like Rise of the Ronin or Assassin&#8217;s Creed Code Red. Either way, many fans, including myself, would be more than eager to see a new Sucker Punch game at the rumored PlayStation Showcase.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8e\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">5. Fumito Ueda&#8217;s next game<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/PzICle4NrwiJCelETNYaetPQMRLhGGfsktY4dvhWRaA\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy9zaGFkb3dvZnRoZWNvbG9zc3VzMi5qcGc\" alt=\"last guardian\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The Last Guardian director teased his next game announcement is coming this year. (Picture: PlayStation)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Fumito Ueda, the man behind some of the most beloved PlayStation games like <strong>Shadow of the Colossus<\/strong> and <strong>The Last Guardian<\/strong>, has been secretly working on a new game with his team at GenDesign for quite some time now.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">At the start of the year, genDesign teased an impending game announcement, and Sony&#8217;s showcase seems like the perfect stage for it. Ueda has created some of the most atmospheric video game experiences that have a tremendous sense of scale, and I&#8217;m very keen (and I hope others are as well) to see what his studio is carving next for the current-gen systems.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8f\"><strong><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">6. Sony Santa Monica Studio&#8217;s next game (more precisely, the next game from Cory Barlog)<\/span><\/strong><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/xz2xAnbgYW9ZpmTpCLUApjPMHcSVfANk0z6ZRAv-gEU\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9Hb2Rfb2ZfV2FyL0dvZC1PZi1XYXItUmFnbmFyb2suanBn\" alt=\"cory barlog next game\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">Cory Barlog&#8217;s next game announcement would be exciting. (Picture: Sony Santa Monica Studios)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Last year, Sony Santa Monica Studios launched <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/god-of-war\/ragnarok-review\">God of War Ragnarok<\/a><\/strong>, which is currently sitting at a Metacritic score of 94\/100. However, that game wasn&#8217;t led by Cory Barlog, who&#8217;s primarily responsible for the series&#8217; reboot and its current success.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Barlog has since then confirmed he&#8217;s involved with a different project(s), and one of them is rumored to be a multiplayer game. Sony Santa Monica Studio has great momentum going, and I think PlayStation could take advantage of it by showcasing what&#8217;s next from Cory Barlog and the team.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8g\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">7. Persona 3 Remake&nbsp;<\/span><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/AZogkHnwYMQBHZpIw6fQtvTDgJHMWpAWQCAyMpHzUFg\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy9wZXJzb25hMy5qcGc\" alt=\"persona 3\" width=\"728\" height=\"455\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">The only way to stop these Persona 3 remake rumors is to reveal it officially. (Picture: Atlus)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Persona fandom, including I, has been flipping out since the rumors about a Persona 3 remake started swirling around the internet. The idea of a Persona 3 remake with the visuals and quality of something like Persona 5 Royal is just mind-boggling for us.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The Persona franchise is the most popular it&#8217;s ever been, and if this remake is real, PlayStation&#8217;s stage would be more than perfect for an announcement. It also doesn&#8217;t seem too far-fetched, especially given that Persona 5 and Persona 5 Royal were a PlayStation exclusive for several years.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8h\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">8. (Picture: Naughty Dog)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">With every lost city destroyed and treasure chest sunken, Nathan Drake&rsquo;s popularity grew. As he lost his fortune, the Uncharted franchise gained a fortune, ultimately, making PlayStation a ton of money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">As of now, Uncharted is easily one of the most prestigious PlayStation IPs in history, both in fame and worth. Nathan Drake&rsquo;s story may have ended, but there are plenty of characters and their stories that are worth exploring in a brand-new game.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/video-games\/live-from-ps5-ad\">rumors of a new Uncharted game<\/a> have been around for quite some time now, and I think it&rsquo;s finally time PlayStation puts them to rest. A new Uncharted game, whether a sequel or a reboot, from a studio other than Naughty Dog would be something many fans, including I, would be delighted to see at this rumored PlayStation showcase.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8i\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">9. Naughty Dog&rsquo;s next game<\/span><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/onnIdwzYqcevK8dh2jtSofE0E6gHoEYqOkbLqSIMoRw\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy90aGVsYXN0b2Z1czIuanBn\" alt=\"naughty dog next game\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">It wouldn&#8217;t be a PlayStation Showcase without a new game announcement by Naughty Dog. (Picture: Naughty Dog)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Over the years, Naughty Dog has established itself as one of the best PlayStation studios with back-to-back blockbuster releases. The studio continues to release games that push the visual and storytelling boundaries in the AAA space.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">So when a PlayStation Showcase swings by, it&#8217;s natural for fans to expect this studio to give a glimpse of what they are working on. In a pre-Last of Us TV series world, I would have wanted Naughty Dog&#8217;s next game to be a brand new IP, and this rumored showcase would have been the perfect stage to announce it with a teaser of sorts.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">But after the HBO series and The Last of Us Part 1 remake, I think the franchise has gathered unprecedented momentum, and the reveal of The Last of Us 3 would only amplify its value even more, which from PlayStation&#8217;s point of view, means a lot of money.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Either way, I would love to see Naughty Dog reveal a new game, whether it&#8217;s The Last of Us 3, a new IP, or just the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/the-last-of-us-2-factions\/release-date-news\">Factions multiplayer game<\/a>, at the alleged PlayStation event soon.<\/span><\/p>\n<h2 id=\"mcetoc_1h089jio8j\"><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">10. The next Castlevania game<\/span><\/h2>\n<figure class=\"img-figure\" contenteditable=\"false\"><img decoding=\"async\" style=\"width: 100%;\" contenteditable=\"false\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/5TqtW7DYrKkcTDjDm5tQnKP3g2hoSxKi3lzCreMDyJc\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzMi9wbGF5c3RhdGlvbnNob3djYXNlMjAyMy9jYXN0bGV2YW5pYWdhbWUuanBn\" alt=\"castlevania\" width=\"1024\" height=\"576\" loading=\"lazy\"><figcaption contenteditable=\"false\">A new Castlevania game has been long overdue. (Picture: Konami)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">Konami&#8217;s Castlevania has been long overdue for a return, but ever since God of War Ragnarok&#8217;s director Eric Williams discussed his desire to make a Castlevania game during an episode of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=KLmZvFuPHYo\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener nofollow\">Kinda Funny Games Spoilercast<\/a>, I can&#8217;t stop visualizing a next-gen Castlevania game with the story and gameplay structures of the recent GOW games.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">There have been rumors about Sony collaborating with Konami for exclusivity deals, and we have seen one of them come to life with the upcoming Silent Hill 2 remake.
