Even just comparing the chest plate to previously available armor, it outperforms the ballistic vest and police vest against melee and infected attacks but falls slightly behind in terms of ballistic and explosive protection.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span data-preserver-spaces=\"true\">This trend is consistent across all five pieces of the new medieval gear, emphasizing more melee and infected protection rather than ballistic and explosive defense.
