{"id":4785,"date":"2020-05-08T13:40:55","date_gmt":"2020-05-08T13:40:55","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/valorant-vanguard-hotfix-mouse-keyboard-input-device-driver"},"modified":"2024-07-19T14:16:45","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T14:16:45","slug":"valorant-vanguard-hotfix-mouse-keyboard-input-device-driver","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/valorant-vanguard-hotfix-mouse-keyboard-input-device-driver","title":{"rendered":"Riot has released a hotfix to stop Vanguard from blocking drivers"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The latest problem Valorant players had to deal with was probably the most severe one &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/valorant\/valorant-s-anti-cheat-is-now-disabling-input-devices-users-report\" target=\"_blank\">it was disabling mouse and keyboard<\/a>, from the moment you turn on your computer, which means that players weren&#8217;t able to log in.<\/p>\n<div id=\"traffective-ad-Content_1_968149\" style=\"display: none;\" class=\"Content_1\"><\/div>\n<div id=\"traffective-ad-Content_1_651528\" style=\"display: none;\" class=\"Content_1\"><\/div>\n<p>This is, of course, a serious issue, which resulted in a massive response on Reddit, with<a href=\"https:\/\/www.reddit.com\/r\/VALORANT\/comments\/gek5rm\/vanguards_needs_to_ask_permission_to_disable_a\/\" target=\"_blank\"> players demanding that&nbsp;Vanguards asks before&nbsp;disabling a program instead of disabling it silently itself.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>Numerous players were reporting that their mouse and keyboard stopped working and that they weren&#8217;t able to fix the problem even after resetting the system.<\/p>\n<p>Others were reporting that some other programs and features were disabled, like fan control, system monitors, and even some BIOS settings, etc. The worst part is that this was all done silently, without notifying players.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" alt=\"valorant_vanguard_anti-cheat.webp\" src=\"https:\/\/cdn-cf.ginx.tv\/imgcdn\/Vhs160hdo4tkLVNLdRju0U4I1jlZT3iOYx_Qo7IfmuY\/rs:fill:0:0:1\/g:ce\/aHR0cHM6Ly93d3cuZ2lueC50di91cGxvYWRzL05pa29sYV9TYXZpJUM0JTg3L3ZhbG9yYW50X3Zhbmd1YXJkX2FudGktY2hlYXQud2VicA\" style=\"width: 1280px; height: 720px;\" width=\"1280\" height=\"720\" loading=\"lazy\"><\/p>\n<p>The overwhelmingly negative reaction prompted a quick response from developers in Riot, and they quickly rolled out a hotfix which should fix the problem, and allow previously blocked drivers to work.<\/p>\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/PlayVALORANT\/status\/1258493180510519296?s=20\"><twitter-widget class=\"twitter-tweet twitter-tweet-rendered\" id=\"twitter-widget-0\" style=\"position: absolute; visibility: hidden; display: block; transform: rotate(0deg); width: 500px; margin: 10px auto; max-width: 100%; min-width: 220px;\"><\/twitter-widget><\/p>\n<blockquote align=\"center\" class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\" data-twitter-extracted-i1588945277141856906=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">In an hour we&#8217;re shipping a hotfix for Vanguard to +up its compatibility with cheat-vulnerable drivers. Most of the previously blocked drivers should now work. Some egregious ones will cause the game not to start but now very few will be blocked outright.
