What Are Scattered Prisms Used For in Diablo 4?<\/h2>\n

First, a bit of lore to get the blood flowing, as a Scattered Prism is explained as:<\/p>\n

A mysterious prism most often found in very, very large bodies, such as world bosses. Rare and often hoarded by their previous owners, these prisms are often guarded jealously. <\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n
This rare crafting resource in Diablo 4 is used for one purpose only; to add sockets to your items, including Legendaries. At the Jeweler, you will only need one Scattered Prism to add a socket to your item, but since these are tough to farm, we do recommend waiting until deep in the endgame to use them on top-tier items only.<\/p>\n

To get Scattered Prisms, you will need to get lucky with drops from Treasure Goblins. Since Treasure Goblins spawn very randomly and do not always drop Scattered Prisms, this is not a great way of farming Diablo 4’s very rare crafting resource.<\/p>\n
