{"id":4809,"date":"2020-05-10T06:18:23","date_gmt":"2020-05-10T06:18:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/last-dpc-major-one-esports-singapore-2020-has-been-cancelled"},"modified":"2024-07-19T17:28:34","modified_gmt":"2024-07-19T17:28:34","slug":"last-dpc-major-one-esports-singapore-2020-has-been-cancelled","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/last-dpc-major-one-esports-singapore-2020-has-been-cancelled","title":{"rendered":"Last DPC Major, ONE Esports Singapore 2020, has been cancelled"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>It was only a matter of time until we heard any official announcement cancelling the last Dota Pro Circuit (DPC) Major, the&nbsp;ONE Esports Singapore Major 2020.<\/p>\n<p>Tournament organizers PGL have officially cancelled the Dota Pro Circuit Major, due to the COVID-19 pandemic.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Read more:&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/dota-2-battle-pass-collector-s-cache-call-to-arms\" target=\"_blank\">Dota 2 Battle Pass could arrive soon as Collector&rsquo;s Cache Call to Arms extended<\/a><\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h2>&nbsp;<\/h2>\n<h2>ONE Esports Singapore cancelled<\/h2>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>After Valve announced<a href=\"https:\/\/www.ginx.tv\/en\/dota-2\/dota-2-the-international-2020-delayed\" target=\"_blank\"> The International 2020 would be delayed<\/a>, likely only&nbsp;taking place next year, Dota 2 fans had to wonder what would happen to the one DPC Major standing.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>ONE Esports Singapore Major 2020 was scheduled to take place from 20th to 28th June, but due to the current global COVID-19 pandemic, this is clearly not possible anymore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>PGL made a short announcement on Twitter:<\/strong><\/p>\n<div data-oembed-url=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pglesports\/status\/1258691471840030720\">\n<blockquote align=\"center\" class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Due to the current global situation regarding the COVID-19 pandemic and the current regulations in Singapore, we want to inform everybody that the last DOTA 2 Major of the year, Singapore Major, will be canceled.<br \/>\nTake care, be strong, and keep yourselves safe and healthy! <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/h7mDp5TmR0\">pic.twitter.com\/h7mDp5TmR0<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; PGL (@pglesports) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/pglesports\/status\/1258691471840030720?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">May 8, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async=\"\" charset=\"utf-8\" src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\"><\/script>\n<\/div>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>It remains to be seen if ONE Esports Singapore could be turned into an online league, such as ESL Los Angeles and Birmingham Majors did.
