Dead by Daylight Chapter 28: End Transmission<\/a> is finally live on all platforms after it was announced during the 7th-anniversary livestream<\/a>, and players have had a little bit of time to get a feel for how the new killer and survivor play while also exploring the new map. The Singularity and Gabriel Soma<\/a> are the game’s newest killer and survivor respectively; both of their designs, perks, and abilities pay homage to the sci-fi genre, bringing a totally new feel to the game.<\/p>\n

Now that the chapter has been out for a little while now, here are our thoughts on Dead by Daylight Chapter 28: End Transmission, including the killer, survivor, and map.<\/p>\n

This Chapter Is Sure to Be a Fan Favorite<\/h2>\n

Dead by Daylight’s Chapter 28 killer, map, and survivor all come together to create the feeling of delving into a sci-fi world that somehow manages to veer into a totally new genre, while still maintaining the familiar horror feel of the iconic 4v1 asymmetrical game. For veteran players and beginners alike, this chapter is sure to be a fan favorite.<\/p>\n

Dead by Daylight’s newest killer, The Singularity, doesn’t just bring a totally unique style of horror to the game but also brings a new playstyle. He’s arguably one of the fastest-paced killers in the game, given his ability to use its Biopods to monitor survivors all around the map and potentially shoot them and teleport to them in seconds.<\/p>\n

The Singularity is also incredibly fun to play against as a survivor since there’s lots of ways to interact with the killer aside from just chases<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Even for Dead by Daylight veterans, the power can take some time to learn; it takes some tact to understand how it works and to understand the best places to put your Biopods. That said, though it’s challenging, The Singularity’s ability pays off. It’s easy to use and works smoothly, and you can put Biopods on pretty much any surface, giving you endless opportunities for innovative plays. It also brings an immense map pressure that can only be mimicked by the likes of S-tier killers<\/a> like The Nurse<\/a> And The Blight<\/a>.<\/p>\n

In terms of design, this chapter will appeal to those who liked the premise behind The Skull Merchant<\/a>, but were hoping for a little bit of a mechanical or robotic take on horror. The Singularity isn’t a human, nor humanoid, but a completely robotic AI. The character’s voice lines add personality to the killer, adding some intensity and fun to chases. <\/p>\n

The Singularity is also incredibly fun to play against as a survivor since there’s lots of ways to interact with the killer aside from just chases. You can interact with chests around the map to accelerate the printing of ENPs or grab an ENP from an already-charged chest, which you can use to remove Biopods around the map. This secondary objective feels genuinely worthwhile when playing against a killer with such a versatile ability, and it’s a lot more fun than just completing generators – though it’s totally optional, and you can always stay glued to those light-bringers if you’re a truly competitive player.<\/p>\n

We couldn’t finish up this review without mentioning the new map. Not all Dead by Daylight chapters include a new map, but Chapter 28 includes Toba Landing, with a huge fallen spaceship and an alien-like environment. The graphics are a step up from anything developers have added to the game in the past, with vibrant colors and fauna dotting the map.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
