Update on 16 October 2023:<\/strong> Gems now form part of crafting materials and will not take space in your inventory thanks to the Diablo 4 Season 2 update.

First and foremost, it is important to note that the Gem Pouch, aka better inventory management for the plethora of gems you pick up in Diablo 4, does not have an exact release date. We do know, however, that it won’t release via a hotfix update.<\/p>\n
Via the first post-launch Campfire chat, the developers have confirmed that the Diablo 4 Gem Pouch-type feature will arrive in Season 2. Now, for some speculation via the table above for when Season 2 will begin since we know the game will get a new season every three months<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n

The data is based on speculation at the time of writing, but we will update the table above as soon as official information becomes available. Blizzard has confirmed that Season 1 will begin in mid to late July 2023, and we believe the new Diablo 4 seasons will start on a Friday, just like they did with the Early Access release.<\/p>\n
Therefore, our best guess is that the Diablo 4 Gem Pouch release date is 22 September 2023<\/strong>.<\/p>\n
How Gem Inventory Management Will Work in Diablo 4 Season 2<\/h2>\n

When Season 2 releases, Diablo 4 players will finally get a Gem Pouch-type system. This isn’t exactly an actual pouch, but it will alleviate any gems-related inventory management issues.<\/p>\n
Blizzard has confirmed that the quality-of-life feature they will implement in Diablo 4 Season 2, after “looking at inventory tension,” will be that gems move to the Materials Tab instead of the general inventory. The developers can still change their minds and add a Gem Pouch tab, much like the Consumables tab we currently have.<\/p>\n
