Pokemon Scarlet and Violet <\/strong>has been out for a couple of months now and there is plenty of excitement that is still surrounding the game. There are a lot of events that are constantly happening in the game, including special raids<\/a> that allow players to catch Pokemon that are not normally available in Scarlet and Violet.<\/p>\n

To keep the excitement going, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet are getting new DLC<\/a> releases later down the line. In the latest Nintendo Direct, we got some information about the new DLC that is coming to Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. One of the pieces of information involves a new ability for some new Pokemon. Here, we are going to talk about the Toxic Chain ability in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

What Is The Toxic Chain Ability In Scarlet And Violet?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Toxic Chain<\/a> ability is an ability that is exclusive to some new Pokemon coming to Scarlet and Violet. This new ability makes it so that when you attack with a Pokemon that has Toxic Chain, you have the chance to badly poison your opponent<\/strong>. From what it looks like, it does not even have to be a physical attack for this ability to activate. This is massive because most status effect abilities require opponents to hit you first for activation.<\/p>\n

This means that players who are using Pokemon with the Toxic Chain ability can spread poison across the enemy team. This will make for an interesting dynamic when it comes to competitive Pokemon. There are only three Pokemon that have the Toxic Chain ability. The Pokemon that can use this ability are called Okidogi, Munkidori, and Fezandipiti<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

When Will The Toxic Chain Ability Become Available In Scarlet And Violet?<\/strong><\/h2>\n

The Toxic Chain ability is coming with the new upcoming DLC of Pokemon Scarlet and Violet. The ability will be on the new Pokemon that is in the first wave of the DLC. The first wave of the DLC is named The Teal Mask<\/strong>. Once The Teal Mask DLC is available, players will have the chance to get the Pokemon that has this new ability.<\/p>\n

The question becomes, when does The Teal Mask DLC come out? The Teal Mask DLC is currently slated to be released in the Fall of 2023<\/strong>. There is no official release date just yet for this upcoming DLC. More than likely, this DLC will launch in September because the next wave of DLC will be released in the Winter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
