Behaviour Interactive’s Dead by Daylight is a horror game, and many of its maps are pretty dark to suit that atmosphere. However, if you’re having trouble seeing what’s going on around you as either survivor or killer, it might be a good idea to turn up your brightness in the game.<\/p>\n

If you’re wondering how to adjust your brightness in Dead by Daylight, we’ll walk you through the steps of how you can increase it to see better.<\/p>\n

Change Dead By Daylight Brightness Settings<\/h2>\n

Unfortunately, there is no way to change your brightness directly in the Dead by Daylight client, but if you’re on a PC, there are some workarounds.<\/p>\n

First, you can try adjusting your screen brightness<\/strong> to its highest setting. This can make it a lot easier to see, which is especially important when traversing the map as the killer.<\/p>\n

If you’re playing using your TV as a monitor, you can try changing your brightness settings for your TV to Sports Mode<\/strong>, which tends to brighten up the screen. This is an option that might work for many Xbox, PlayStation, or Switch players.<\/p>\n

If you own a GeForce graphics card, you have even more ways to brighten up your screen in Dead by Daylight, and you can also customize the way the game looks. GeForce offers several filters, brightness settings, and more through an application called GeForce Experience<\/strong>. To use it, open up the game and press ALT + F3. From there, you can toggle your filters, brightness settings, exposure, contrast, and more.<\/p>\n

If you’re streaming the game, you can try adjusting your stream brightness in Twitch Studio or the client you’re using to stream; while this won’t make the game brighter on your end, it’ll make it easier for your viewers to see the action.<\/p>\n

It’s worth noting that some retired Dead by Daylight offerings<\/a> used to affect the brightness of trials, but they were retired after challenges arose when developers tried to balance the lighting on all the game’s maps.<\/p>\n

For now, you can’t adjust your game’s brightness in Dead by Daylight, though this is a feature that many players no doubt wish for.
