Video games and easter eggs are common occurrences that players have discovered by veering off the beaten path through hidden areas, in-game dialogue, or quests. Cleverly crafted and carefully placed by the developers, these easter eggs often reference or pay tribute to their source material or other games and related media.<\/p>\n

Conan Exiles<\/a> has its fair share of easter eggs, which may surprise dedicated players as they’re so well-hidden. But, when discovered, it brings joy and hilarity. Nevertheless, there’s an easter egg they’ve recently added, according to developer Funcom, and to their surprise, has yet to be discovered in-game.<\/p>\n

We love easter eggs, and we enjoy finding them in video games, especially if it’s silly or simply brilliant, and Conan Exiles has a handful of them. From thralls named after development team members to an official Conan Exiles song and the large Wheel of Pain, a new easter egg dating back to the game’s publishing days was confirmed to be added.<\/p>\n

In our interview with Conan Exiles’ Lead Designer, Dennis Douthett<\/a>, we learned of this easter egg that has gone unmentioned by its community which has us wondering where to find it and what it exactly references. According to Douthett, this savagely clever easter egg references a famed ongoing series, the Savage Sword of Conan<\/a>, which the developer has inserted in-game.<\/p>\n

We try to keep the number of silly references to an absolute minimum because this universe is BRUTAL! Without spoiling it, the most recent one would be a Savage Sword of Conan reference that I haven’t seen anyone bring up yet.<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

Granted, the worlds of the Exiled Lands and the Isle of Siptah<\/a> aren’t suitable for funny or quirky easter eggs, but including a Savage Sword of Conan reference hidden somewhere should be worth tracking down. As Douthlett stated in our interview, the game does feature “a handful of references, but most of our references are worn well on our sleeves!”<\/p>\n

For players unfamiliar with the Savage Sword of Conan series, this comic book series was a black-and-white printed comic first published in 1974. The series heavily covered different times in the life of Conan the Barbarian, which became widely popular during its publication and has since become a cult classic amongst collectors and fans alike.<\/p>\n

While it hasn’t been mentioned on the official forums and other online platforms, we’ll leave it up to the Conan Exiles community to discover this marvelous easter egg in-game. However, the journey to unearthing this easter egg may be perilous, so we advise some caution in case you run into a spider or enemy clans<\/a>in search of some treasures<\/a>.<\/p>\n
