With Microsoft’s acquisition of Activision-Blizzard looking more and more likely to finish up soon, many gamers are wondering about Blizzard Entertainment’s dormant franchises, including StarCraft 3<\/a>. Well, it appears that Microsoft might not even “need” to revive the iconic real-time strategy (RTS) franchise, as there’s reason to believe StarCraft 3 is already in development.<\/p>\n

A rather credible leak has suggested that Blizzard has already begun development on StarCraft 3. This information comes from journalist Jez Corden (Managing Editor at Windows Central, who, in a now-deleted tweet, basically confirmed StarCraft 3 is currently in development.<\/p>\n

According to a report<\/a> by Insider Gaming, Jez Corden answered a fan question on Twitter, stating that Microsoft does not need to revive the StarCraft franchise. Corden then answered, “Yep,” when asked if he knew something about StarCraft 3. <\/p>\n
