The first season of Diablo 4 did not go down well, from gameplay and balance changes resulting in review-bombing to long login queue times and other issues. I tried Diablo 4 Season 1 at launch, and it wasn’t a great experience. Despite the nerfs to Barbarians (and all classes, really) in the form of Vulnerable Damage and Crit Damage reductions, I made a character called “NerfThis” and set off on the main seasonal questline, determined to showcase that my best Spin to Win Whirlwind build can still work.

Roughly one hour into the season, I couldn’t get to Cormond, the all-important NPC that provides you with Malignant Heart crafting and the questline you need to follow. Just before Cormond’s Wagon, I was blocked by an invisible wall. From the countless Reddit posts, thankfully, I was not alone.
