One of the crucial features or components may seem silly, but having the ability to change your character’s in-game name may help them in this regard.<\/p>\n

Larian Studios’ player base has wondered whether the developer has made some changes to the game and whether players can change their character’s name in-game. We have all the answers by discussing how you can change your character’s name in Baldur’s Gate 3.<\/p>\n

How To Change Your Character Name In Baldur’s Gate 3?<\/h2>\n

Baldur’s Gate 3’s Character Creation<\/a> boasts unique and varied customization options for players to create the best character possible. From race and subrace options, classes and subclasses<\/a>, abilities, and more, some details may slip by you, and in many cases, players end up with the default name, Tav<\/a>.<\/p>\n

So, how does one change their character name<\/a>? Well, this setting is relatively hidden within the Character Creation menu, and it’s easy for them to skip this, but we advise changing their name before getting lost in spending too much time creating your character.<\/p>\n

To change your character name, within the Character Creation menu, specifically on the first page, look to the right side of this page and look below the game’s description. Here you can locate the “Background” option, where within this option is the ability to change your character’s name to anything you like.<\/p>\n

As of writing, this is the only time you can change your character’s name, and it’s unclear if the developer will make some exceptions for players to change it later in their campaign<\/a>. We advise players to be sure what they wish to name their character before starting their campaign or remaining with the default name.<\/p>\n

While the option to rename your character may not be present in-game, there may be some workarounds for layers to explore, which may be more tedious, like starting another save file with the correctly named character. Nevertheless, the setting to change your character’s name is quite hidden, which may be due to UI\/UX design, so we hope that this will change before the game launches on 3rd August 2023 on PC<\/a>.<\/p>\n
